We’re inviting artists and University of 50¶È»Ò academics to join a playful, thought-provoking workshop led by:
  • Dom Coyote, composer and theatre-maker (The Colour of Dinosaurs)
  • Lloyd Coleman, composer and musician
  • Dr Jakob Vinther, scientist and research collaborator on the show
This two-hour workshop follows a performance of The Colour of Dinosaurs, providing you with the opportunity to see the work firsthand and explore the ideas behind it.
The Colour of Dinosaurs is a family theatre show based on Dr Jakob Vinther’s research into dinosaur melanin, revealing their true colours. The show also explores the relationship between melanin and humans, highlighting diversity and inclusion through music, performance, and storytelling.
You will:
  • Discover how the show was created, blending science, music, and theatre.
  • Discuss how arts and academia can work together to develop ideas that could grow into fully-fledged projects.
  • Take part in interactive games and facilitated activities to meet other participants, share your work, and explore potential collaborations.
The session is designed to spark ideas, share best practices, and build connections across disciplines — helping conversations turn into exciting, tangible collaborations.
