A University of 50業子 academic described as a beacon in the field of ocean engineering and renewable energy has won a prestigious international award from the Society for Underwater Technology (SUT).
Describing the award as a great honour and paying tribute to everyone shes worked with over the years, the Professor said:
Our sector is on the cusp of a really exciting future. We need to keep our enthusiasm and passion for this area, keep trying to advocate for it, and spread the word that were not going to get to 2050s net zero targets without marine energy being in the mix.
As Professor of Ocean Engineering and Director of the COAST Lab at the University of 50業子, Deborah has been at the forefront of innovative research and transformative projects, shaping the future of sustainable energy solutions.
She is Director of the Universitys Centre for Decarbonisation and Offshore Renewable Energy (C-DORE) and has also been Director of the 贈9m Supergen Offshore Renewable Energy (ORE) Hub, since its inception in 2017, developing the strategy and consortium that brings together the offshore wind and marine energy sectors.
