Undergraduate courses

The scheme allows flexibility and transfer between our suite of three specialist BSc courses up until the end of Year 2.

Lutjanus kasmira - adult fish inhabit coral reefs, in both shallow lagoons and outer reef slopes. Frequently found in large shoals in the Indo-Pacific and Southeast Atlantic around coral formation and caves or wrecks during the day. The juveniles tend to inhabit seagrass beds.
BSc (Hons) Marine Biology
Includes marine biology, ecotoxicology and conservation physiology modules. Fieldtrips have included the UK and Portugal.

Includes specialist modules in marine ecology, conservation and applied aquatics. Fieldtrips have included the UK and South Africa.

MSc Sustainable Aquaculture and Fisheries

The wings of butterflies are composed of tiny scales. Black areas are pigmented with melanin, but red, green and blue are caused by microscopic layers of chitin that diffract light giving the appearance of colour. This is known as structural colouration.
